Text Paths (aka Type on a Curve) FREEBIE

Adobe Photoshop Text Path Objects
Adobe Photoshop Text Path Objects - Video Tutorial
The 'Type on a Curve' article in Creating Keepsakes, October 2009, reminded me of one of the many to-do projects on the to-create list.
In Adobe Photoshop you can create just about any shape you want, turn it into what's called a path or vector representation of the created shape, and then using the type tool, create text that will sit on and follow the outside of the shape OR you can also create text that will wrap itself to the inside of the shape. (see rotating image above)
While these editable text layers can only be created in the Photoshop CS versions, once they are created and saved properly, these Photoshop documents with the text path layers can still be opened and edited in Adobe Photoshop Elements. HOORAY!

Click on the following links for Download1, Download2, Download3, and Download4 to access the FREE 40+ Text Path documents containing vector shapes and associated text layers for outside and inside text areas. Associated zipped downloads include:
- (41) 12x12 300dpi, individual layered Adobe Photoshop Document (PSD) files
- (41) Resizeable vector shapes for clipping mask use
- (80+) Text path layers for creating text outside and text inside the vector shapes (Not all shapes have both)
- Text Path documents work in both Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop CS versions

For instructions and details on how to work with the Text Path documents, please use the PLAY arrow button above to launch a video tutorial.

Not quite sure about the username Jalz. I wanted you to know that it was me who used your text paths and tutorials. I guess I forgot to check the identity before submitting my comment. So as I said in the last one, thank you. It is great to know how to do this in a quick and effective way.

Wow, can't believe you don't have MANY more thankful comments. This is AWESOME. Thank you so much for taking pity on us poor PSE users who can't to text paths!
